San Rafael Sanctuary Interior

The San Rafael Sanctuary was originally constructed in the 70’s, and over 30 years later, the finishes, lighting, liturgical furnishings, organ, and sound system needed much attention. The challenge on this project, beyond coming up with suitable designs that respected the structure but improved the spiritual environment, was to execute the construction with the least amount of downtime. Working with the selected general contractor, all materials, equipment and furnishings were ordered and stored off-site when possible. When everything was set to go, the work began under a rigorous schedule that refinished the pews, replaced the flooring, re-conditioned and upgraded the organ and the reredos wall, replaced the lighting and repainted the entire interior in a transformation that took less than four weeks.
